Eco-Mango Pack develops innovative packaging for Nam Dok Mai mangoes using natural materials like coconut husk, water hyacinth, and coffee grounds to enhance sustainability and shelf life.
"Eco Mango Pack: Eco-friendly Packaging for a Sustainable Future" focuses on developing innovative packaging for Nam Dok Mai mangoes, considering fruit safety, shelf life, and environmental impact. The selected materials include:
- Box: Made from coconut husk.
- Cushioning: Dry water hyacinth stems utilized to enhance shock resistance.
- Preservation: Dried coffee grounds incorporated to extend shelf life.
The design also takes into account the needs of small-scale farmers, making the packaging suitable for community enterprise production and reducing production costs. This project aims to add value to Thai agricultural products, support the circular economy concept, and promote the use of environmentally friendly materials in the packaging industry.

Objective
To design eco-friendly packaging for Nam Dok Mai mangoes using biodegradable materials and to develop cost-effective production processes for local farmers and community enterprises.
- To develop and design eco-friendly packaging for Nam Dok Mai mangoes using biodegradable or recycled materials, such as coconut husk, dried water hyacinth stems for shock absorption, and coffee grounds, to reduce environmental impact and extend fruit shelf life.
- To study and develop packaging production processes that are practical for small-scale farmers or community enterprises, focusing on reducing production costs, expanding market opportunities, and adding value to Thai agricultural products.
