This project focuses on developing a test device for AC electric vehicle chargers according to IEC 61851-1 Annex A. It simulates vehicle circuits to test PWM communication and establishes an operation manual compliant with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
This project focuses on developing a test device for an AC charger for electric vehicles according to the IEC 61851-1 Annex A standard by simulating the test circuit inside an electric vehicle to test the operation of the AC charger. The test topic relates to communication between the electric vehicle and the charger via a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control circuit system and creating an operation manual (WI) to prepare for testing in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
The overall project scope includes:
- Developing test equipment and creating an operation manual.
- Collecting data and comparing it against standards to test Type II AC chargers in each state.
- Utilizing a PLC S7-1200 and HMI to control switches, parameters, and result displays.
- Using calibrated oscilloscopes and multimeters to ensure compliance with specified standards.
Objective
To study communication between EVSE and vehicle circuit models, verify EVSE performance per IEC 61851-1, and develop an operation manual for testing.
- To study the communication operation between Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) and the electric vehicle communication circuit model.
- To verify EVSE by testing the communication between the electric vehicle communication circuit model and the EVSE according to the IEC 61851-1 standard.
- To create an operation manual for testing electric vehicle chargers according to the IEC 61851-1 standard.
