The presented project topic is Garbage Sorting Systems. The purpose is to study the operation and develop a waste sorting system that can automatically detect the type of waste using a proximity sensor to separate the types of metal and non-metal waste, as well as an ultrasonic sensor to check the amount of waste in the bin. If the amount of waste exceeds the specified amount, the system will send a notification to the communication device connected to the system, such as a smartphone or computer. The operation of the system is designed to increase the efficiency of waste management, reduce the burden of manual waste sorting, and promote recycling. This system can be applied in various places, such as educational institutions or public places, to help reduce the amount of waste that is not properly separated and increase the opportunity to reuse waste.

Microalgae are rich in bioactive compounds that may contribute to the growth of probiotics, which require appropriate nutrients, known as prebiotics, to thrive. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of crude extracts from intracellular components residues of the microalga Chlorella sp. KLSc61 in promoting the growth of the probiotic bacterium Lactiplantibacillus plantarum JCM1149 under simulated gastrointestinal conditions. The intracellular extracts were obtained using 70% (v/v) ethanol, and their effects on probiotic growth were tested at concentrations of 0.1%, 0.75% and 1.5%. The growth of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum JCM1149 was assessed using the drop plate method. The findings of this study will provide insights into the potential of Chlorella sp. KLSc61 extracts in enhancing probiotic growth, which could lead to the development of synbiotic dietary supplements containing both probiotics and prebiotics. Additionally, this study may serve as a foundation for further research on the role of microalgal extracts in gut health and immune system modulation.

Spent coffee grounds (SCGs) are waste from coffee drink process, which are rich of a varieties of nutrients. This research applied SCGs as ingredient in cracker. The optimized formula and process are studied as well as addition of different levels of SCGs were studied. It was found that addition of SCGs in cracker had hedonic score in high level from panels, especially panels who drink coffee. Moreover, it was observed that SCGs could increase nutrients especially carbohydrate and fiber to the product.
