Objective
The objectives of this project are to analyze audience participation levels in interactive concert settings using quantitative data, study motion patterns and engagement behaviors through motion tracking and log data analysis, and explore how participatory experiences influence audience perception and engagement in live performances. Additionally, the project aims to investigate the potential of participatory concerts as a tool for teaching interactive technology in the arts and provide insights for developing interactive performance technologies that enhance both artistic and educational experiences.
The integration of interactive technology with art and music has gained increasing attention, particularly in concert settings that allow direct audience participation. Creating performances that foster interaction between the audience and performers not only enhances the artistic experience but also provides opportunities for learning about interactive technology.
The insights gained can contribute to the development of interactive performance technologies that support learning in both the arts and interactive technology fields.
