Measuring the soil pressure to check the degree of soil compaction from the traffic of machinery is very difficult. This project was to present the development of an uncomplicated rubber bulb pressure detector that is comfortable for measuring, installation, and usage. Before the field testing, sandy clay loam with the initial moisture content of 10 and 13% db, bulk density of 1.0 g/cm^3 was compacted in the soil box under the dynamic pressure that was applied to the soil surface in the range of 0-100 kPa. The obtained data were compared with the values from the stress state transducer (SST). The results were found that this device was able to verify the soil pressure and showed linearity. For comparing the SST, the octahedral stress (soct) differed by about 40% and the adjusted value was near the value from the SST by using the correction factor.
