เนื่องจากผู้ออกแบบเห็นถึงศักยภาพในพื้นที่ริมคลองห้วยยาง จึงได้ทำการศึกษาการใช้งานพื้นที่ริมคลองห้วยยางตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน พบว่ามีการให้ความสำคัญกับพื้นที่ริมคลองลดน้อยลงและมีแนวโน้มในการเกิดเป็นพื้นที่ถูกทิ้งร้าง โครงการนี้จึงเป็นการเสนอแนะแนวทางการออกแบบและพัฒนาพื้นที่ริมคลองห้วยยาง เพื่อนำเสนอให้เกิดทางเลือกในการพัฒนาพื้นที่ริมคลองห้วยยางให้เข้ากับบริบทเมืองได้ต่อไปในอนาคต
