"UpcycleQuest" is a mobile app that transforms tourism into a fun and eco-conscious adventure. Travelers collect virtual items representing local waste, unlocking rewards and contributing to real-world upcycling projects. The app's key focus is engaging experiences for tourists and positive brand image for local businesses. Supported by key partnerships, including local SMEs and waste management, the app aims to attract tech-savvy travelers and enhance customer engagement. With revenue streams from in-app purchases and collaborations, UpcycleQuest aims to make tourism enjoyable, memorable, and environmentally responsible.

Objective

The origin of "UpcycleQuest" lies in the intersection of two key concepts – gamification and sustainable tourism. Recognizing the increasing interest of tech-savvy travelers in unique and meaningful experiences, the project was conceived to transform traditional tourism into an engaging adventure. The idea emerged from a desire to leverage technology for both entertainment and positive environmental impact.
