KinderForest : Puzzle Building Game with VR Technology

KinderForest : Puzzle Building Game with VR Technology is designed to utilize Virtual Reality (VR) technology with the primary aim of promoting creative problem-solving skills and basic practical application abilities among players. This project presents the game in an Augmented Virtual Reality (AR VR) format, emphasizing physical engagement of players during gameplay while fostering creativity and fundamental application skills. The project team has chosen to utilize Unreal Engine 5.1 and Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality glasses to develop the game in the form of augmented virtual reality technology. Within the game, there will be various levels that require creative thinking and different approaches to pass. Time constraints will be a crucial element in completing missions and progressing through these levels. Players will physically move their bodies in response to in-game movements. Each level will present unique challenges that will necessitate both physical movement and problem-solving skills. The game will provide different rewards based on the outcomes of mission completion, and players will be informed of their results once they have successfully passed a level.

HEALTHCARE SYSTEM FOR GERIATRIC SCREENING IN ELDERLY CANCER PATIENTS

Cancer is one of the major health issues in Thailand, particularly as the country enters an aging society. The risk of chronic diseases among the elderly often results in limitations in treatment, making it difficult for most patients to achieve a complete recovery. This necessitates continuous care and the provision of accurate information and guidance about cancer. However, current health record systems for patients lack effective interconnectivity, which hinders data analysis and the development of patient care models. Additionally, incorrect information about cancer spread across social media can lead to misunderstandings among elderly patients. To address these issues, researchers have developed a chatbot system that utilizes Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology to understand human language and accurately respond to questions about elderly cancer patient care. The chatbot provides reliable and up-to-date information based on medical knowledge sourced from a database reviewed by healthcare professionals. Furthermore, a web application has been developed to record and analyze patient assessments according to medical standards, enabling healthcare providers to plan and develop appropriate treatment approaches in a better way. This system also facilitates data sharing and connectivity across hospital systems, allowing information to be used to enhance the precision and modernity of treatment approaches. In addition, the chatbot acts as an assistant, providing information and guidance to patients, reducing the workload of healthcare staff in answering questions and encouraging patients to take a more active role in managing their own health.

Efficacy of mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) peel hot water extract against Aeromonas hydrophila infection of seabass fingerling (Lates calcarifer)

Mangosteen peel (Garcinia mangostana Linn.) extract using hot water (MPE) has been shown to have antibacterial potential in freshwater sea bass (Lates calcarifer) larvae infected with Aeromonas hydrophila. In vitro studies showed that MPE has a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 25 ppm and a minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of 25 ppm. In vivo, sea bass larvae were immersed in various concentrations of MPE at 0 ppm (control), 20 ppm, 40 ppm and 60 ppm, respectively, for 7 days with A. hydrophila. The results showed that the MPE-treated group had a higher survival rate compared to the control group. Hematological parameters showed that the MPE-treated group had significantly increased red blood cell (RBC), white blood cell (WBC) and hemoglobin (Hb) concentrations compared to the control group. In addition, the water quality parameters were not significantly different, except for ammonia concentration, with MPE having an ammonia concentration of 60 ppm being the lowest. All results can indicate that MPE can improve the antibacterial potential and the culture potential of sea bass larvae.
