A majority of farmers currently choose to use chemicals to control beet armyworms since they are easy to buy, convenient, and fast, but consumers are mainly concerned about the effects of chemicals on their health and the environment. A report also showed that the use of herbal plant substances posed similar efficacy to the use of chemicals. Therefore, farmers have an alternative to use plant extracts to meet the needs of consumers as a guideline for elevating the standards of organic agriculture. In research, nanoemulsion has been used to prepare plant extracts as an oil-water distribution system in water with a particle size of less than 100 nanometers, leading to stability and capability to preserve key substances that are easily volatile for a longer period. In this research, aqueous titration was used as it is an easy method. The cost is not very high compared to other methods and it is easy for farmers to eliminate beet armyworms.

Objective

ปัจจุบันการเติบโตภาคอุตสาหกรรมเริ่มขยายตัวอย่างรวดเร็ว รวมทั้งความต้องการของผลผลิตทางการเกษตรเพิ่มสูงขึ้นเช่นกัน ส่งผลให้ปริมาณผลผลิตไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการของผู้บริโภคและภาคอุตสาหกรรม ทำให้เกษตรกรนิยมใช้สารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืช เพื่อพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ตอบสนองต่อความต้องการที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง การใช้สารเคมีไม่เพียงแค่กำจัดแมลงศัตรูพืช แต่สารเหล่านี้สามารถปนเปื้อนและตกค้างในสิ่งแวดล้อมได้ จึงเกิดแนวคิดการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์น้ำมันหอมระเหยจากพืชสมุนไพรร่วมกับนาโนเทคโนโลยีที่มีประสิทธิภาพกักเก็บสารสำคัญและควบคุมการปลดปล่อยสารเหล่านั้นอย่างช้าๆ จึงเหมาะสมกับการใช้งานทางการเกษตรเพื่อควบคุมและกำจัดแมลงศัตรูพืชที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม
