Details
The rapid spread of Blackchin tilapia (Sarotherodon melanotheron) has negatively impacted ecosystems by outcompeting native species for food and habitat. This project aims to utilize this invasive species to help control its population.
Due to the outbreak of Blackchin tilapia, the overall natural ecosystem has been affected. The species spreads rapidly and is highly resilient to environmental changes, leading to an overpopulation that competes with native fish for food and habitat. Furthermore, their diverse feeding habits may contribute to the decline of small aquatic animals and essential aquatic plants.
Objective
To study the formulation and production process of fish balls made from Blackchin tilapia.
