This project develops a virtual reality (VR) game to make learning about ancient Egyptian civilization more engaging. Using Unreal Engine 5.1 and Oculus Quest 2, players solve puzzles and collect information to escape a room while learning history.
The project of game development to educate about Egyptian civilization is intended to be a game to promote learning about ancient Egyptian civilization. Traditional learning methods may feel boring and fail to attract the attention of learners, so this project presents a game using Virtual Reality (VR) technology that integrates historical knowledge. The organizers chose to use Unreal Engine 5.1 and Oculus Quest 2 for development. Within the game, players must find a way to escape from a room within a specified time by solving various puzzles, such as those involving statues or traps. To solve the puzzles and escape, players must collect all the information hidden within the room. Additionally, the game features a player health system; if a player fails to solve a puzzle correctly, their health will gradually decrease, while solving puzzles quickly will increase their health.
