การพัฒนาระบบหน้าบ้านของโปรแกรมสั่งและติดตามรายการอาหาร

Details

In today's digital landscape, technology has seamlessly woven itself into the fabric of our lives, enriching our experiences across diverse domains. With countless innovations emerging to cater to specific or broad user groups, the food and restaurant industry faces its unique challenges, including optimizing cooking operations, managing orders efficiently, and facilitating payments. In this context, digital technology offers a promising avenue for improving the experiences of both sellers and consumers. In this project, our primary goal is to comprehensively understand the distinct needs of sellers and consumers within the food and restaurant sector. By harnessing the potential of digital technology, we aim to address these needs, effectively resolving industry challenges and culminating in the development of an advanced order tracking program. Through this initiative, we seek to elevate the overall experience for all stakeholders involved, ushering in an era of heightened efficiency and convenience within the industry.

Objective

Currently, the IT faculty cafeteria is facing difficulty due to a large number of students and staff using the service each day. This has resulted in an increased demand for queue management in menu ordering compared to before. The traditional paper-based order management and oral orders had found to be insufficient for effective order management, as they lack retrospective recording capabilities and open a possibility for human errors. This leads to multiple issues such as missing orders, delayed food preparation due to queue interference, or even menu mix-ups between customers. Furthermore, the lack of a reliable order summary and verification system hinders effective menu planning and may lead to errors or the need to repeat the same menu multiple time.

Additionally, vendors face difficulties in calling customers who have reached their turn frequently, as customers cannot easily determine if it's their turn or how much longer they have to wait. This issue also affects the verification of customer payments since there is no comprehensive system in place to regularly verify customer payments, resulting in potential losses for the vendors.
