Degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DSL) refers to a condition where the lumbar spine deteriorates and shifts from its position. This can lead to discomfort, weakness, and numbness in the back and legs. To address this lumbosacral spine fusion surgery (LSF) has been proven as a treatment. However, performing LSF requires decision-making by neurosurgeons. Considering this, a recent study developed an application that captures X-ray images and presents spinal parameters (known as spinopelvic parameters) to aid neurosurgeons in surgical planning. The study encompassed 100 DSL patients who underwent LSF. The application recorded their lumbar X-ray images, which were then analyzed to extract parameters such as the Cobb angle of the lumbar spine, lumbar height, lumbar interspace distance, and distance between the lumbar region and iliac bone. The findings revealed differences in these spinal parameter values before and after surgery. Notably, post-surgery patients exhibited improved spinal parameter values compared to pre-surgery.

Objective

ปัจจุบันมีการรักษาโรคหรืออาการผิดปกติของกระดูกสันหลังด้วยการผ่าตัด โดยความแม่นยำในการวัดค่าและระบุตำแหน่งการผ่าตัด ซึ่งต้องใช้ความสามารถของแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ทำให้การวินิจฉัยเป็นไปได้ช้า และผู้ที่สามารถสามารถวัดหาค่าได้นั้นมีจำนวนน้อย ซึ่งมีประสบการณ์และความชำนาญในด้านนี้น้อยกว่าแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จึงได้มีการนำการประมวลผลภาพ x-ray ของผู้เข้ารับการรักษาเพื่อกำหนดบริเวณของพื้นที่ในการผ่าตัดให้เล็กลง เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้แพทย์ผู้วินิจฉัยและรักษา
	ซึ่งทางแพทย์ผู้วินิจฉัยได้เห็นถึงปัญหา เรื่องความแม่นยำ และความล่าช้า ในการวัดหาค่า parameter ของ spinopelvic ด้วยมือ ทางผู้จัดทำจึงนำปัญหาเหล่านี้ มาแก้ไขด้วยการใช้ Image Processing เพื่อนำภาพ x-ray มาวัดหาค่า parameter ช่วยทำให้เวลาที่ใช้การวัดด้วยมือนั้นน้อยลง
