This research project aims to develop Edu Lab-on-Board, a series of ten compact electronics and embedded systems learning kits designed to enhance hands-on education in electronics, microcontrollers, artificial intelligence, and automation. Key features include:
- Portability: Designed to be compact, allowing students to continue practicing and developing their skills outside the laboratory.
- Sustainability: Maintains a low production cost, ease of maintenance, and scalability for future production within the institution.
- Scope: Encompasses electronic circuit and PCB design, prototype development, hardware assembly, software validation, and the preparation of laboratory manuals and experiment worksheets.
The expected outcomes include a complete set of practical learning kits that support Active Learning, strengthen students' practical engineering competencies, and align educational outcomes with industrial demands, with strong potential for future commercialization.
Objective
The project aims to design 10 modern, compact, and low-cost learning kits with accompanying worksheets, enabling students to practice independently while ensuring ease of maintenance and institutional scalability.
- To design learning kits that are up-to-date with current technology and compact enough for students to take home for practice.
- To design a total of 10 different learning kits, each accompanied by at least 5 experiment worksheets.
- To produce compact and low-cost electronics and microcontroller learning kits.
- To ensure the low-cost kits are easy to repair or reproduce as needed.
