A lightweight 32-gram wearable sensor system that provides continuous 24-hour wireless patient vital sign monitoring. It transmits real-time ECG, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory data to a central station while automatically integrating with hospital EMR systems via HL7 standards, reducing nursing data entry workload by up to 90%.
Objective
The objective is to provide continuous, wireless patient monitoring through a wearable sensor system that integrates with hospital records to reduce nursing workload and improve patient mobility.
The project aims to provide a wireless vital sign monitoring system that:
- Monitors patients continuously for 24 hours.
- Reduces manual data entry workload for nursing staff.
- Automatically integrates data into hospital HIS/EMR systems via HL7.
- Allows patients to maintain normal mobility and daily activities during monitoring.
